Bring Your Shopper Into Focus With Our Behavioural Insights

TLDR

Introduction

Welcome to the world of shopper insights, where data-driven decisions meet the heat of the food industry. In this article we'll share info on Appetise and why we exist. We'll explain the insights we offer and how behavioural data can help you succeed in the competitive FMCG marketplace.

What is Appetise?

Our mission at Appetise is to improve the world of food.

Our recipe discovery, meal planning & smart shopping platform helps consumers “get more from their meals”. Our users can access 2000+ recipes of various cuisines, dietaries, and cooking abilities, created by our expert recipe creator Helen Jackson. Consumers can plan meals and buy ingredients online (or in-store), all in one easy experience.

We also partner with FMCG brands, providing unique shopper insights from our consumer platform.  Our ecosystem provides us over 7 billion data points per month (and growing each week!). As a result we give you a whole new level of shopper visibility & understanding.

We Understand The Complex Environment That is FMCG 🔮

Our brand partners share common problems - it’s hard to know who exactly your shoppers are and how they use your products. Pair this with narrowing consideration sets, accelerating food trend cycles, and tightening margin conversations, and the industry you operate in certainly is a complex place. We know the competition you face and provide insights to combat these industry challenges.

Who Currently Uses Our Insights? 👥

We're proud to work with 55+ FMCG brands from small start-ups to large players. Our insights offering began in our home country of New Zealand, though we’re now expanding into Australia, with our eyes on further market expansion. Here's just a snapshot of our current NZ brand partners:

The Power of Behavioural Insights 🔋

As our platform is free to use, the actions we analyse are authentic behaviours. By examining actual consumer behaviours, capturing what people are truly thinking, buying, and caring about. This differs from claimed methods such as focus groups or surveys, where research shows only 25% of respondents correctly state their purchase behaviour.
